Our team

George Allinson (Transport) Ltd is a large and well resourced organisation but we never forget that our customers need personal contact and personal accountability. Our senior management team is always available to help prospective or established customers.

Alan Barnfather: Alan worked in his own family’s transport operation before moving to Allinson in 1992. As commercial manager he draws on his extensive experience of the transport and freight industry to find the most cost-effective and efficient logistics solutions for customers.

Michael Allinson: Michael, general manager, is a proud son of the founding family of Allinson with 23 years’ experience in the logistics sector and transport culture.

Both Michael and Alan have undergone management development to degree level. They have taken much training with partners and colleagues from customer companies so they appreciate their customers’ view and share a common language.
